I think “ Rooms To Go “ SUCKS

FIRST OFF, I think “ Rooms To Go “ SUCKS ! My purchase has been a nightmare. The furniture arrived damaged. Rooms To Go ‘s customer service has been horrible. The furniture I received looks “cheap”! I have a hard time believing it’s made of the same stuff as the furniture on the showroom floor. I wish I had never walked into Rooms To Go. Do you feel the same way?

WHAT CAN YOU DO?    Here are 10 things you can do to help get ” Rooms To Go ‘s ” attention, and help warn others before they buy from Rooms To Go .

1)    Keep track of everyone you talk to. Write down their name, job title or department, and the date you spoke to them.

2)    I’m sure by now you have called “ Rooms To Go ‘s “ Customer Service Department: 800-766-6786 . If you haven’t called them yet (spoiler alert here) this is where they might tell you about a “‘No Refund Policy”. You should ask them if you can just return the furniture for a refund. The shock alone is worth it (well, maybe not).

3)    If possible, take pictures of the problem(s). Make a video of the problem(s). Send your pictures with your e-mails. If you want you can post your pictures on-line. You can post your video on Youtube and send the video links to Rooms To Go by e-mail.

4.A)    File a complaint against “ Rooms To Go “ with the Better Business Bureau. Here’s the link: https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started

4.B)    Check out the thousands of complaints already filed against “ Rooms To Go ” with the Better Business Bureau. Here’s the link:  http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-reviews/furniture-retailers/rooms-to-go-in-seffner-fl-11000837

5)    Post on “ Rooms To Go ‘s ” Facebook page. I think they filter new comment threads so it might be best to post your comment on a picture, after someone else’s comment, or on one of their “What do you think” post. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/roomstogo and the one for Puerto Rico https://www.facebook.com/rtgpr

6.A)    E-mail  “ Rooms To Go “ . Just a thought, you might try sending your e-mail to one e-mail address at a time. Each person individually.  Just copy and paste your e-mail message. That tends to get more attention than one bulk e-mail to everyone. With the single e-mail “each person” will have to decide rather to respond, or if they should forward it to someone else, etc, etc. If you send one bulk e-mail to several people they might assume one of the other people will handle it and not respond or forward it. Here are some e-mail contacts you can start with:

6.B)    I think “ Rooms To Go ‘s “ e-mail format is currently based on: First letter of first name + Full last name + @roomstogo.com . Using a company directory you can pretty much guess at the e-mail address of the person you want to contact. Here is a link to an on-line “ Rooms To Go Company Directory of Business Contacts “ : https://connect.data.com/directory/company/list/176901/rooms-to-go?guid=176901

7)    Send “ Rooms To Go “ a certified letter. Send them a fax. Company  / Corporate address, phone, and fax: Rooms To Go , 11540 E US Highway 92 , Seffner , FL 33584-7346 Phone: 813-628-9724 or 813-623-5400 Fax: 813-620-1717 .

8)    There is no Board of Directors to speak of, or that I know of. The company is owned by 2 brothers: Jeffrey Seamon , and Morty Seamon . Send them a letter at the address above, and send them an e-mail. I am still trying to get solid addresses for both of them. If you find one let me know.

9)    Post your story on as many CONSUMER REVIEW web pages as possible. Pages like: PissedConsumer.com , complaintsboard.com , consumeraffairs.com , complaints.com , and many others.

Don’t be surprised when one of Rooms To Go ‘s customer service reps comments on your post and offers to help you. Their user name will probably have the letters RTG in it. Rooms To Go actually has customer service trolls watching these pages. Why don’t they just put all that customer concern and effort upfront instead of chasing unhappy customers down after the sale has gone bad.

10)    Start your own blog. Warn others. Tell the world about what happened. Start a free blog on Tumblr.com. Start a free blog on Blogger.com. Start a free blog on Xanga.com. There are lots of free sites where you can start a blog. It’s like therapy. It will make you feel better.

Good luck!!

WAIT !! One other thought. Does anybody have any friends at their local TV station. I wonder if they would be interested in a good consumer review story and some good video to go with it. Who knows a hungry investigative reporter?

OR , MAYBE , if you Love ” Rooms To Go “ you can use all of the above information to sing their praises. Tell the world how great they are. Contact each employee and thank them personally for their part in making the world a better place. *yeah, good luck with that*
